Organizations

Altar Guild

The motto of the Altar Guild is "let all things be done decently and in order." (I Corinthians 14:40) All members pledge to foster the work of the guild and promise their hearty and sincere cooperation with one another and the Lord. The Altar Guild meets every third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.  The duties of the Altar Guild include:

1. to care for the Chancel of the Church;

2. to prepare the Chancel for each worship service;

3. to furnish suitable vestments for the Altar;  

4. to be the custodians of the Altar linens and the furnishings of

   the Chancel including vestments for  worship leaders;

5. to care for and set up all Communion and Baptismal vessels;

6. to prepare and set up for all Weddings and Funerals;

7. to foster a better understanding of our Liturgical  heritage.

Mary Martha Guild

The Mary Martha Guild is an auxiliary organization of Rib Mountain Lutheran Church, and its purpose is to support and to extend the work of our congregation. The Lutheran Women's Missionary League is an auxiliary of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, organized to develop and to maintain a greater mission consciousness among the women of Synod, and to fulfil a vibrant role in Christ's mission to the whole Church. Our Guild is affiliated with the LWML and works to assist each woman of our congregation in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of Rib Mountain Lutheran Church, to the community and to the world.
